Job Description

We are looking for excellent engineers who can research & develop Computer Vision solutions using state-of-the-art techniques of Machine Learning & Deep Learning. You will be given a chance of working with different real-world problems of Computer Vision in a variety of business domains of Toshiba. You will be up-to-date with latest technologies in the field. You will sharpen your skills by constantly sharing with other senior members in our team or collaborating with outside researchers in Toshiba R&D world-wide centers or attending international conferences/workshops. The working environment is open, flexible, collaborative, encouraging and excellence-oriented. Senior candidates with proven leadership & management skills will have an opportunity to lead a core team of 5-10 members.

Job Requirements

Education & Experiences

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Electrical/Telecommunication or related Engineering fields, Mathematics. Master or PhD is an advantage
• At least 03 year working experiences in practical research & development of Compute Vision / Machine Learning systems is required

Knowledge/Skills

• Solid background knowledge at Maths (Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics, Optimization)
• Having practical knowledge with one of areas: machine learning, deep learning, data science, and optimization.
• Have done practical projects in Image Processing/ Computer Vision.
• Have experience with various image processing techniques and Deep Learning architectures such as AutoEncoder, CNN, RNN, GAN.
• Good at one of programming languages: Python, C++, C#, Java (Python is most preferred.)
• Good at one of Deep Learning frameworks: TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch and Python libraries (scikit-learn, numpy, scipy, pandas, matplotlib)
• Ability to read and implement research papers quickly and apply ideas to related problems.
• Strong analytical skills and mindset.
• Good at writing technical reports and presentation of technical problems (in English).
• Good at English (all 04 skills), knowing Japanese language is a plus.
• Other attitude characteristics: proactive, responsible, can-do, and get-thing-done.
