FPGA Engineer (Chance to become Leader)
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Digital LSI Front-end Engineer, you will participate in the design and development of cutting-edge digital systems for semiconductor products. Depending on project requirements, you will have opportunities to work on both ASIC and FPGA platforms throughout the digital front-end development flow.
- Design and develop digital logic using HDL languages such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL.
- Develop RTL for complex digital systems and IP blocks.
- Create simulation environments, testbenches, and verification scenarios to validate design functionality.
- Perform RTL debugging, functional verification, and coverage analysis.
- Conduct synthesis, timing analysis, and constraint development to ensure design quality.
- Support FPGA prototyping, hardware validation, and system integration when required.
- Analyze technical issues and propose efficient design solutions for customers and project teams.
YOUR SKILL
Educational background
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic & Telecommunication, Computer Science, or related fields.
Technical skill
- At least 3 years of experience in Digital IC/LSI design, ASIC, FPGA, or related digital hardware development.
- Strong knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL.
- Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, including FSM, CDC, reset synchronization, clocking, pipelining, and low-power concepts.
- Experience with RTL simulation and debugging.
- Experience in developing verification environments and test cases using assertions, self-checking methodologies, expected value comparison, etc...
- Familiarity with synthesis flow, timing analysis, and timing constraints.
- Good understanding of computer architecture and on-chip bus protocols such as AXI, AHB, or APB.
- Comfortable working in Linux environments and developing scripts (Shell, Python, Tcl, or Perl) to improve development efficiency.
Preferred Skills
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- LSI front-end development flow.
- FPGA development using Xilinx or Intel (Altera) devices.
- FPGA development tools such as Vivado or Quartus.
- FPGA board bring-up, hardware debugging, and system validation.
- Design for Performance, Area, and Power (PPA) optimization.
- Lint checking, CDC analysis, or low-power verification.
- Embedded processor integration or SoC development.
Language skill
- Fluency in English (TOEIC 600 or higher).
- Japanese: JLPT N4 or HIGHER IS A BIG PLUS.
