PLC Engineer
Job Description
- Responsibility for control equipment essential for hydro, geothermal, and nuclear power generation.
- Program PLCs using standard languages (Ladder, FBD, ST, etc.) based on system design documents.
- Participate in control system design, hardware design, and software design that control turbines and generators; and developing monitoring system for plant operations using Toshiba’s Control Device.
- Perform on-site installation, adjustment, turning, testing and optimization of control logic according to operational requirements.
- Work closely with Japanese engineers to clarify technical specifications and meet project standards.
- Prepare technical documents, test procedures, and reports related to control systems.
Your skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Automatic Control, Automation Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of control systems and industrial automation devices: sensor, actuators and electric device.
- Knowledge of basic controllers: PID, feedback, feedforward, logic control.
- Experience or basic knowledge in PLC programming (Mitsubishi, Omron, Toshiba, Siemens, etc.).
- Japanese proficiency at least N5 level or equivalent.
- Willingness to work onsite in Japan; interested in reducing environmental impact and shaping a sustainable future.
- Strong sense of responsibility and fulfillment; Strong communication and teamwork skills for project execution.
Preferred Skills
- Good English reading ability.
- Experience in power plants or turbine/generator control.
- Knowledge of Network protocols in industrial plant: Modbus, Profibus, CAN, etc.
- Experience with vendor-specific PLC or simulation tools.
- Ability to work in multinational teams.
