JOB DESCRIPTION

Manage and guarantee operation of team of 10 members and more to develop, enhance software for Toshiba products and solutions. The team will use some of common technologies from embedded software (low level driver, firmware, library, embedded application) to Desktop application depends on each components’ requirement of complicated system. Based on customers’ requirement, there may be request of quick investigation of new & latest technology and implementing Demos/Prototypes.

Main duties & responsibilities:

• Establishing estimation, proposing development solution with customer
• Making project plan, monitoring and controlling project progress, complying company's process.
• Directing project team in essential work tasks of software development (e.g., requirement definition, software design, implementation, testing)
• Accountable for success of the project in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery.
• Leading and managing team to counter risk and issues during project execution.
• Communicating and discussing directly with customer about requirement specifications.
• Cooperate to develop and execute strategical activities of engineering department for business purposes & objectives
• Conduct training & coaching leaders/members in software engineering development if required.

YOUR SKILL

Must have:

• At least 5 year experiences of embedded software development or desktop application with firm knowledge of software engineering (requirement, software design, programing, testing).
• Able to investigate & acquire quickly knowledge about system specification & technical insight.
• Good mindset in software structural design to assure reliability, maintainability, portability and efficiency of the source code.
• Familiar with designing software using UML.
• We accept Vietnamese candidates only.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge & practical apply of implementation of common design pattern (both architectural & detail)

Management skill

• Strong knowledge & hand on experiences in software project estimation, planning, monitoring & control, risk & issue management.
• At least 02 years playing role of project management. Having experiences to manage multiple project teams at the same time is an advantage.
• Deep understanding/experiences in quality assurance process: CMMI or equivalent;
• Have experience of building up strategy for an organization is an advantage
• Data-driven thinking & management is a plus

Communication language skills

• English: fluently communication (TOEIC: 600 or higher)
• Japanese: JLPT certification or able to communicate in Japanese is big advantage.
